Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants
Churchview Care Home is recruiting compassionate and dependable Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our nursing and care team. We provide specialist nursing care for people with complex physical, neurological, mental health and dementia-related needs. Successful candidates will help residents maintain their dignity, independence, safety and quality of life.

Salary: £25,000 per annum — approximately £12.82 per hour.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Churchview Care Home is recruiting compassionate and dependable Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our nursing and care team.
We provide specialist nursing care for people with complex physical, neurological, mental health and dementia-related needs. Successful candidates will help residents maintain their dignity, independence, safety and quality of life.
Main responsibilities
Healthcare Assistants will:
- Deliver person-centred personal care and emotional support.
- Assist residents with mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living.
- Accurately complete care records and report changes in residents’ needs.
- Follow residents’ care plans, risk assessments and clinical guidance.
- Support meaningful activities and community participation.
- Work safely in accordance with safeguarding, infection prevention, health and safety and confidentiality requirements.
Senior Healthcare Assistants will also:
- Lead and support care staff during allocated shifts.
- Delegate duties and monitor the quality of care provided.
- Contribute to care-plan reviews, risk assessments and professional handovers.
- Escalate clinical concerns promptly to the nurse in charge.
- Support staff induction, supervision and competency development.
- Undertake additional duties only where appropriately trained and assessed as competent.
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18 or over.
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Have good spoken and written English.
- Be able to work the required rota and contracted hours.
- Demonstrate compassion, reliability and respect for residents.
- Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory employment references.
Previous care experience is desirable for Healthcare Assistant applicants.
Senior Healthcare Assistant applicants should have relevant care experience and preferably hold, or be working towards, a Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or an equivalent qualification.
